in response to the recent HP war bet audi RS and MB AMG divisions, the BMW ///M has decided to up the ante in their upcoming ///M5 as well as the next ///M3.


M5 will get 90degree 40 valve, "5.8L" V10 producing "550 HP" (from 5.5L 500HP)
in addition M5 will get
7 speed SMG 3 (3rd gen SMG)
M tuned Active Steering
M tuned Dynamic Drive System


M3 will get a new 400HP V8 for its powerplant

 

As it sits right now in 2003 Audi is still the best car.

now THATS A COMPARISON.. as of right now, if you look at just plain data, the AMG has more litres, more power, lightest, middle price, and fastest out of the 3.. however, there are some other factors as well like handling, reliablity, etc.. i think their all great cars and its all about what you prefer... as stated, the M5 is getting a 550hp engine and the AMG E55 is getting 8 more hp, but 184 more lbs of torque!! oh yeah, one more thing, i highly doubt any one this forum has driven ALL 3 of these cars too make a comparison with experience, unless youre very rich or very lucky, to say this sucks and this kicks ass with authority.

Dude i wasn't the one making the comparison. I was reading off or "words post"and just feeding info. And i can't believe that i put down v6 for the m3. I'm always bitching at somone for puttin it down when talking about GTR's and such.Didn't have time to re read my post.

All in all we can all agree that anyone of us would love to have any of these cars

My parents own a 2002 M5 and let me tell you, when you drive the thing, a hole hell of a lot of good any numbers do you when you look at the SUEDE interior, awesome layout of the interior, incredible 6 speed tranny, seamless power delivery, renound suspension, and that lovely growl of the quad exhaust. They are all great cars, but the M-fizzle is one BAD-ASS car that I will own in about 5-6 years when my parents tire of it.
