bout time. drag racing is almost as gay as nascar.
 
what I can't understand is why he got poled in the rear for the race....if he's that good of a driver, and started out in the front, then there would be no other cars to pass.....makes for a safer race as well...the time he lost witing for the other car cars was wasted. Ohh well...

And the old tranny in the Z sounded like that one day...it was fun. then it blew up a block from the house...hehe.
 
i seem to remember this being posted like, 2 years ago, and a big discussion about "clean cut gears" or something to that sort :)
 
A strain gauge placed on the shift lever lets the ECU know there is a shift happening so it can retard timing for the shift. Otherwise, sequential dogboxes don't do it for me......H pattern dogbox is where it's at. Probably has a Hewland in the BMW....about $10k worth of transmission!

Oh and yes, I need a dogbox also :D
