I have a full gsr motor but one problem..it burns oils
Mostly at high Rpms it blows a lot of smoke

Idk if it is the piston rings the head gasket or the valve ceils

Should I just rebuild the b18c head or buy a b16 head?

not really a problem, Just do a complete rebuild. Do a leak down test to be specific.

Vtec motors are known to burn oil at high rpms, the PCV system is to small. But could be the rings or valve oil seals.

Most likely rings. Could also be a restricted pcv system but IMO the rings are worn. See if you can rent a leak down tester and see what it shows.

I've been told after 150 k miles the valve guides wear out on all B-series VTEC motors.

Yep rings if it while accelerating. Oh and just stick with the GSR head you already have it so ne need to get a B16 head. I prefer B16 heads for LS Vtecs because they do flow just a bit better than the GSR but mostly because you dont have to wire in for the GSR mani. You have the GSR head already so just stick with that either head will get you the same end result after P&P so dont waste money buying a new head.
