I need help

I bought a wiring harness for my head unit yesterday and hooked it up, then i turned it on and it worked fine for about 10 minutes, The problem is that its skipping like a cd is scrathed even when its on an FM channel any one know why?

out of all the speakers or just one? is the unit turning on and off when this is happening?

only on speaker is hooked up at the moment and no the unit is not turning off and on when this happens

the music is skipping or it just starting and stopping ? if starting and stopping it could be a high open in your wirring to the speaker , or the speaker ,or a bad channel in the head unit

sounds to me like you have wires for the other speakers not hooked up touching. is it just the sound goin in and out or is the power turning on and off as well? if it is just the speaker that is going in and out, it is wires touching some where to put the headunit into protect mode.

The unit isnt turning on and off its just the speaker ill check the wires
