i need some advice for ls/vtec conversion...

i have a b16a first gen head with a b18a block...okay obviously i need new pistons and piston rings instead of my ls ones and i am planning on getting pr3 first gen pistons and was just wondering if i need to do any machining or anything? advice please...

Have the block machined to spec for the pistons you're going to use.

P30 pistons for all motor lsvtec IMO

you can leave the pistons in there, and p30 pistons are more expensive than pr3 pistons.. also if you mill or deck the block youll get a cr boost check this out

you can get a set of p30s for under 200 bucks...what more do you want

with rings? and install? around here you can get pr3s for around $140 with rings and not alot to press on rods. all under $200.. but you do make a point

tis true, the pistons come without rings....wasnt really thinking. i happen to have access to the oven thing to get my pistons and rods together....i do have kinda a unique situation.
