Jeffie, I was more referring to a guide about mixing, mastering, and producing in general, not just how to use a particular software. I'm a pretty quick study and it's something I'm very interested in. I guess I could just browse Barnes & Noble, but I'm wondering if you have any recommendations.

I'm a big hands on person, if you're looking for books, I think you hit the nail on the head, check out the books at the stores and grab the one you feel covers what you're looking for.

If you have free time you could always intern at a local studio.
