iac valve

i put a '99ls into my '00 civic lx. on the civic harness there are 3 wires for the iac valve and only 2 for the b18. i didnt know what to to with the orange wire that is left over, and i am getting a check engine light for the iac valve. what is the correct way to wire it?

check your codes and youll find out why youre getting a cel.

The correct way to do it is to go to the ECU and find plug B. Then move the wires according to the diagram (this is assuming you are using an OBD2b LS ecu) and then you go to the 3 wire IACV plug in the engine bay and connect the 2 wires on it that aren't orange to the LS IACV.
