the new car registration tax gets TRIPLED on wednesday...so if you're buying a new car in cali do it by tomorrow and save yourself about a couple hundred bucks a year (give or take).

Someone needs to make a batch of laws that would make it really hard for politicians and regulatory agency people to drive without paying some hefty fines... then we would see all the bullshit laws disappear.

any of you guys see the road side smog testing? they had cops pulling random cars over and putting them on a road side dyno to test their cars they even pulled an out of state guy over! sigh.... I could never live in CA because of the damn smog shit if I lived there I would have to have some bad ass stock cars 911TT comes to mind =)
 
What the fuck can they do to an out of state guy? You only have to pass emissions for your own state... that's just bogus. I smell a lawsuit on that one.
 
I got news for you all.. you're gonna end up paying the higher rate no matter what.. the only thing you're saving on is paying registration this cycle. But every little bit helps right?
 
well if people would listen to Tom McClintock and signed the damned petition... we would have had 800,000 signatures in no time... im surprised we didnt get it honestly seeing as how so many talk radio shows based in california [640am for example] we telling all listeners to sign to petition... either way, if a republican gets into office [most likely arnold even though i think he's a fuckin moron]... it will most likely be repealed, since davis is signing in all these bogus laws while he is temporarily in office [not for long GUMBY]

Another reason why I left California, $450 a year for a civic, WTF? At least in Texas with all the out of state fee's I had to pay $200, next year only $54. As for the smog thing, California has the right to pull anybody over because they don't pass smog. For all they know you can live in California, and still haven't gotten the plates. Any state you enter, you have to obey the law. But California is just plain stupid, Arnold is not a dumb ass, he is Austrian. I felt bad though when he got egged, what makes it worse is if he wasn't running for governor, he probably would have kicked that guys ass.
