Imagine you have 20,000 to spend on a car...

Hey guys...

I was just informed that I MIGHT be getting 20,000 cash to put towards a car... My friend might be getting 500,000 on her 18th birthday just for being indian, she said she would buy me a car and that I have 20,000 to spend on it!

Assuming you could spend 20,000 grand on any car, what kind of car would you get and what would you do to it? You think you could make a 10 second car with 20,000? Im kind of excited to see what everyone says and why... should be a fun post...

Personally I was thinking of going with a supra possibly... or an RX7!

Get an old Fox body Mustang 5.0 or an older Z28, then strap on a supercharger and some huge ass slicks. Maybe get some other V8 car and throw a pair of turbos on it, some nitrous... yeah. 10 seconds easy.

How old are you? 20 grand can go along way. I say, if this isn't buy a 3-4k car, put like 4k into it to make it go fast, and save the rest. Use it for college, throw it into an account that gets good intrest, something like that.

There are some accounts that if you invest about 10k in them when your 16-20 years old as a kid and never touch the money, by the time you retire, there will be over a million in intrest. Spend wisely. Ask normal working class adults (50-55 range). I bet 9 out of 10 of them wished they had more money to fall back on when they retire. Heck, if alot of your parents would have had about a thousand to spend back in the 60's, stocks like GE have increased value 100 times.

The point of the post wasn't about the money but rather the car you would buy with 20grand.

There's more tied into it than a 500,000 check from the government on her 18th birthday. Its a collection of all of her family's checks as a present to her because she's growing up in a girls home... it was either 500,000 or 5000 on the 1st and the 15th of the month for the rest of her life... but her family would go broke doing that so they're just going to give her 500,000 on her 18th birthday.

And in minnesota... we have casino's and some indians are lucky enough to drive around in their fancy cars... most of them dont get a big 500,000k check but like 5 grand a month to live off the rest of their life... all cause of the casino..

You probably couldn't, but you might find a slightly used one for $25k, which would leave a car payment on $5,000. That's nothing for a slightly used EVO.
