haha.. i said the same thing.. i'd put 2 windows in right there if i ended up with that one

got approved for $190,000 but gonna look for cheaper.. and i plan on putting 5% down so that comes out to about $8500-9000.. but if i put more down by how much do you think it would lower my mortgage payment

down payment won't effect you monthly payment that much, unless you're putting a huge chunk down. A good rough estimate on mortgage payments is $100 a month for ever $10k financed. so if it's $180k and you put $10k down and finance $170k payment would be $1700 a month roughly. Also taxes will greatly effect your monthly payment. there are a lot of good cauculators out there, I'd post a link but most of them are blocked at work "finance".

well my buddy, also the agent i'm using told me i'm looking at about $1400 for $190,000 w/ 5% down

what interest rate did they give you for 190K?

just give your banker a call
give them approx taxes on the place and they can give you a monthly
or just ask them the monthly on 190K without the taxes, then just figure monthly+ taxes/12 for your mortgage payment

sounds about right, maybe a lil low to me, but deffinatly check out some mortgage caculators.
