im assuming that the big company that already has licensed techs are the ones who pushed this through. trying to secure a monopoly.
 
Its stupid. Yes, you can harvest all kinds of personal information form a PC, but a PI license isn't going to keep dishonest people honest. This is total bullshit. I could see a background check.. kind of a minor security thing, but requiring the tech to be a PI is fucking rediculous.

All the states have idiotic legislature being passed, but I still think California has the greatest amount and highest consistency of stupid shit going on...
 
How can you even define someone who repairs computers? It's not like there was ever a degree or a specific business name that did computer repairs in the first place...

I don't even see how something like this is enforceable.
