Im not completely sure what you are talking about. Im new to this honda forum thing. But if you are talking about and aftermarket intake, im on the right page. A cold air intake will lower fuel milage. More air more fuel. The pcm will see the a/m intake and compensate by adding fuel.

It will help, but minimally. Better flow means less power lost to pumping air.. But if you get a heavy foot, its going to compound the problem.

a good filter in a stock air box will benefit more than a shitty filter on a custom intake.

air is air... your not forcing it into the engine so no added fuel is needed. an aftermarket intake is basically less restrictive than stock but not by much. you dont have any sound resonators, which quiet the pulsating sound from the intake. An aftermarket intake its a straight pipe frm filter to throttle body

Upgrading your ignition system would help out just as much if not more. My dad put those E3 spark plugs in his 02' Tahoe and picked up 3 mpg on average.

it would help, maybe not a whole lot, but your are making your motor run more efficiently.

i agree, an intake will slightly improve efficiency (and mileage). although most of the time when people have an aftermarket intake they press the throttle a little more because you can hear it. and that obviously negates any potential fuel savings.

Yea a Tahoe is a big inefficient SUV. He had already put a intake and exhaust on it. But no headers.

Kinda figured the video was on a cell phone. lol

If an aftermarket intake betters your fuel milage, why in the winter (in canada) does EVERYONE take them off because their tires are always spining in the snow? even if its a crappy one. Everyone around here tends to think a stock air box is better on fuel.

That stock air box is designed perfectly for your stock engine. MPG's sells cars. That's why Honda did lots of work making sure you get the most mpg's out of what comes from the factory.

1.) What does the intake have to do with the spinning tires? If your car can't chirp it's tires pre-intake, a cold air or short ram tube and a cone filter isn't going to make that big of a difference.

2.) They probably take them off because they're worried about water getting into the motor.

You would see more of a gain mpgs by losing all unnecessary interior/creature comfort components.
