what are intermediate shafts and do i need them from a b series to put a b18b into my 96 ek hatch. thanks. Also can i use the shift linkage from a usdm type r?

On the linkage, yes.

Halfshafts are on the driver side, and go from the tranny to the axle. They are bolted to the back of the block, and yes you need them for a B series swap.

what i learned on my swop i did on my car i used the shift linkage from an ls to do. cause the guy at the acura dealer told me that they put difrent part # on them depending on what you drive so they can make money on them but there all the same...

Yeppers...that intermediate shaft will cost you also...

A manual tranny Inter shaft ran me 250 bucks while the auto version is only 20 bucks.....go figure.
