My friends 93 civic has over 200,200 miles on it. No surprise it's a honda :). He does a lot of highway, so the windshield has some pitting. Nothing big enough to be considered a chip it makes it look like its spotty dirty. Can it be buff and if so how do you go about doing that.

Well, how you go about it depends on the severity, and the desired result. Treat it just like paint. Wetsand with 1000+ grit paper, and buff out with a rubbing compound. Excellent for removing stubborn waterspots. Deep pits could be filled and sanded down. Use your own judgement.

check out Eastwood company, they have a product made specifically for this, it involves a rubbing compound and comes with a buffing disc and other necessary stuff.
