I was leaving ex g/f's house today, and got stopped at a road block a
couple of blocks from her house.
They were waving everybody through, but I knew I'd get stopped.
Sure enough, a pig jumped infront of my car and said they needed to
check my trunk. I asked what was going on, and he just said pop
your trunk. I did. All I had in my trunk was amp, speakers, and
tools. He looked, closed my trunk and said move on.
I asked what that was all about, and all he said was,
I'm not allowed to talk about it, move on.
So I did.
Was that legal? I'm not sure it was.
BTW I live in Valdosta, Ga. if that matters.
Do we have to let cops look in our car whenever they want?

in wisconsin there not allowed to look without a search warrant without your consent unless youve already got busted for something
 
no, thats legal, i'm sure they were looking for something in car that matched the description of yours. all they did was look and sent you on your way, whats the big deal? feel like you were violated because the cop saw your vibrators in your trunk? :lol:

Probably looking for somthing expensive that was stolen locally. Happens a good bit in ritzy neighborhood s here.. Also, we have roadblocks for seatbelt and registration/insurance proof checks.
 
Federal law: If they ask to search, and you say no, that gives them probable cause. Or, they'll just hold you on the side of the road 'till they get a warrant. That only takes about 15- 30 minutes.

So pretty much, if they want to, they're going to.
 
I don't believe that "vehicle matched a description" crap for a minute.
I was a young guy, earrings, in a car with some rims, playing rock music.
I think that might be a crime in this hick ass town...
And no I left all the vibrators at home today... <_<

while not in the official "how to be a cop" book, its a reality of how cops do their jobs. its become a political hot potato of late but as a polite society, we allow it.

At 33, I get pulled over on occassion because I drive a lowered Import with loader than stock exhuast. Its not rice (see my nick) but you can tell its been "altered". Anyway, I accept it as part of owning the car and its fun to see their expression when they see me and not some young guy with earrings playing rock music.

It 100% legal and you didn't have to open the trunk. Of course, you'd wished you had after the drug dog got finished going through it and leaving some "souveniers."

So you lost 10 miutes of your life? You do that every time you light up.

Cops will do wat they want...
Try going against what they say. they will make sure u pay for talking back

did that once... 2 a female cop who was on a power trip.. not a pretty sight.

they feel they need to be just as agressive as the male ones.. like they have something to prove......i cant keep a straight face when they talk to me, i end up laughing and they get pissed.. lol once the bitch searched my car....asking if i had to mmuch tooo drinnk. haha.

with the male cops.. i work my charm and usually get away with a warning.
Usually. I think some cops are Gay.

Did you know that the state troopers down in that area catch more drug runners then any other! They are looking for speeders that seem nervous. That must have been you! That's your profile.
 
I wasn't speeding. I just turned onto the road. I was doing like 10 in a 45.
I saw the cops but I thought it was a funeral percession or something.
It was right in front of a cemetary.
And yes, I know the drug trafficing is awful down here, but they only
catch them on I-75. The cops don't have drug roadblocks by a cemetary
near the rich neighborhoods...
 
Oh yeah, 3 other cars got waved through before me.
They were 38 mexicans in a van, old lady in a cavalier, black dude in
a raggedy old caprice, and then me.
None of them got stopped.
I just thought it was wierd he wouldn't give me a reason for asking to
search my car.

not gay, I would have agreed with you a week ago though. I'm in a job now where I have 30 airmen (I'm military), right out of training, under my direction for there first 10 days on station. I've noticed even though I've got a soft hart for a pretty girl, it doesn't apply at work. Rules must be inforced, regardless of gender or appearence, and letting girls off when you hold guys to the line will shatter your credibility.

-Inversely it's the men that do let pretty girls slide who are gay IMO. They have no integrity, loyalty, or self discipline.
