Is the IACV interchangeble??

I have a obd1 b16A w/ p30 ecu, I am suspecting my Idle air control valve to be bad and need to know which cars can I get one off?

i have a d15b7 IACV in my b16a and it works. its plug and play.

i too have wondered exactly what cars have what iacv before....

still cant tell you what exact engines/cars have which particlar iacv.... all that i have really found out from researching it, is that for the B series there are two styles and they have different bolt patterns. some D series also interchange. the later year models have the wider bolt pattern and the older ones the closer bolt pattern.

I looked them up at autozone and they have different part numbers which makes me wonder, also the one for d15 looks exactly like the one I have on my car (IACV is new) and its messin up.

You need to find out through Honda. If the parts have different #'s there...I would go with the one for your car. You don't have to buy but ask and compare for a Del Sol VTEC B16A3 (not A2....that's 99/00 civic si) and see what other ones will work. Is there a dealership close to you and you can go in person? You'll usually get a better response.
