Is Wiring Harness Necessary?

im planning to do a mini-me swap, putting the obd2 y8 head on my obd1 d15b7 block. i was told to use a p28 ecu, but would i need to get a wiring harness for my swap?
because my block is still an obd1...thats why im wondering

a p28 is an obd1 ecu so get that one and i think you have to use your stock dist.

you might want a wiring harness to cut up for VTEC wiring and have use the plugs on it as extras...
