it doesnt go over 3500rpms!!

my 89 civic has a d16z6 head, the car would start at first but would not go over 3500 RPMS. now i try to start my car and it wont. it cranks over but not turning on. i need help please!

Sounds like it was in limp mode.
Reset your ECU and change your main relay.
Check your ECU codes... if it's throwing anything.

Go over all your connections and make sure everything is connected properly.
