itr pistons in jdm b16

    need help want to put type r pistons in my jdm b16 sir2 motor i think it will put me at 11.1 cr not sure and ctr pistons will be 10.8cr does this sound right for the b16 block? will it work? and is it worth it if anyone could help thanks i alreay have type r ecu, headre, and fuel rail just trying for more power

    no, putting ITR pistons in a B16 block will drop your compression from where you are now (i think it goes down to around 10:1). CTR pistons in your B16 will put you around 11.5:1

    here is a link to a site that might help you figure up compression Civic Type R pistons are about the way to go if you want to bump your compression

    that calculator is incorrect when using the PCT (CTR) piston.
