MMO is worth a shot, as well as some thicker oil. You're going to want to run some thicker stuff anyways so it will withstand the heat produced by the turbocharger.

Hey got an update.

So Dustin and I talked it over.

I am going to sign a liability form which is understandable.

But he will tune it.

Right now Its at 83psi when you rev it cold.

Idles at 7-8psi when warmed up.

Idles at 75psi cold

So what were going to do is put thicker oil in it.

Like 20-50 is what he recommended and tune it and just keep an eye on the gauges and the motor and keep the oil changed and hope it makes it until I can get my other motor built.

ok you still need to run a heavy detergent through it and change to a quality oil , I WOULD NOT TUNE IT , NOT DRIVE IT, NOT DO WOT PULLS until you at LEAST flush it and see how it changes , just changing the oil and tuning it as is you could orange peel the bearings more and or stack one at low pressure, thats just me do what you want id rather take 1 day to see If I can get the pressure up to tune it than put it on a dyno and stack a bearing first go around

then I wouldnt waste my time tuning it or that motor unless you want to put bearings and a oil pump in it.... ok listen we have guided you correctly on EVERYTHING thus far aside from what you have been told/thought, at 7 psi at idle you are going to stack a rod bearing 110% ANYTIME , possibly under first pull with load, soooooooooooooooooooo bearings and oil pump, different long block, or grenade engine and potentially damage the turbo also, you choose

Ok ok point made.

I have one other problem I am not sure on how to get resolved.

I need a JDM b20b dip stick and tube. I don't have 1.

Does anyone know where I can get 1?

I've tried Honda and Acura and they don't carry actual JDM parts like this.

Please I have to have this before we can tune it.

im not such a expert with the difference in bseries ones but having the wrong oil pickup tube with the wrong oil pan in dseries can cause oil pressure issues, idk if it a b20 or gsr pan is different if you have to change them out for clearence ersumshit

I have the b series moroso oil pan. But ya thats not the issue man.

Its all about the bearings.

But were going to clean the motor out and put thicker oil like 20 - 50 in it.

But first I need an oil dip stick tube and dip stick.

Anyone know where I can find one?

So Ive called and emailed tons of places.

No one will just sell me the dip stick tube. I have to buy a whole motor smh.

Does anyone know someone that can source me one or make me 1?

The jdm B20b version is longer and different from the usdm version b20

The USDM version is shorter and the same as the b16 b18 and b20

So I got EXTREMELY LUCKY!!!!

I was able to find a some busted up b20b's at a local jdm importer

And I bought the oil tube and dip stick $42

Taxed me. But when you have to have something that only one person has supply and demand I suppose.

Heres a pic

My ass hole is sore ass fuck.

Every time I turn around I'm getting raped in the ass hole very very hard with no lube.

I won't have much ass left before too long

I just have to say that Dustin is amazing.

He has done everything I asked him to and then some.

If I went over all the things that were wrong with the car I'd be here all day.

He even vacuumed out the car and cleaned the inside up.

Everything works now and I mean everything. Right down to the door chim which I never had before lol all my gauges on my cluster work now and the aftermarket gauges all work.

All bulbs replaced. Blinkers, headlights and brake lights and hazard lights.

Today he is installing the dip stick tube, axles, skunk2 vtec cover and solenoid case.

He is replacing the valve cover gasket and ect...

Installing my shifter and cam seal.

And putting in vavoline 20-50 VR1 Racing Oil

He's already got a basic basemap going on my hondata. He's already installed that.

And everything has been put in its stock location.

The car looks best its ever looked, runs the best its ever ran.

So everyone cross your fingers should be able to take it out tonight or tomorrow for a spin hopefully as long as nothing else comes up.

Wish us luck!

My brand new genuine Honda Civic Type R shift boot came in today.

My boot was white and torn and very ugly.

Besides I'm converting my interior to ctr interior anyways.

Already have the back seats.

Just need front seats, carpet and headliner now.

Heres a couple pics
