i put a jdm b18c into my civic with the jdm ecu.

why is it that the jdm ecu has a speed governor and the american does not. also why do the vacuum secondarys kick in way before the vtec unlike the american ecu that the secondarys kick in with the vtec.

Because that's the law in Japan. BTW- USDM ecu's are speed goverened also, just higher than their JDM counterparts.


If your secondaries are activating before VTEC sets in, then you have something wired wrong.

VTEC will kick in first, and then the Secondary runners will go. Never vice-versa.
