So my 99 4cyl Vtec Accord is in the shop and a JDM H23A DOHC VTEC OBDII is going in... They are putting on an LSD H22 5 Speed tranny.

I inspected the motor and tranny before hand but I'd like to know a few things to look for when it gets back... I requested that my OEM F23A1 be sent back to me as I want to perform a tear down and inspection for educational purposes and see why my cyl 2 compression is only 30 psi (likely a piston ring)

1. what are some "gotchas" and things I should look at when the swap is done? i.e. Throttle body / Cruise control, hoses, welds on manifolds, etc.

2. What ECU is optimal for the JDM H23A? The original motors only came in auto...

3. What are some things to look for to ensure that a good job was done?

4. What are some things I should do to ensure longevity and reliability of my new swap?

Thanks in advance! I should get the car back in a day or so. I'll post up some pics.

Had some issues...
