I’m in the process of buying a JDM P13 on eBay the problem is the seller does not know if the ECU is from a MT or auto car. So my question is how do you know or how can you tell if the ECU is for a MT or auto are there certain numbers to look for, I also notice on some JDM P13 have 2w or 4w on them what does this mean and does it matter. I have JDM h22A 92-95 ENGINE. thx in advance.

You can find out a lot from reading the label on a OBD1 ECU. This applies mainly to the Civic ECUs... dunno bount the integra ones.

37820-ABC-XYZ Digits Meaning
ABC Engine ECU designed for
X Market of ECU - see chart below
Y 0: 5-speed, 5: Auto
Z even number: "11F0" board, odd number: "1720" board
