Stupid meet.... but it's an early spring-ish meet... the plan. I have to get down to NJ to spend about $100 at a JDM supermarket, and then I can collect a $50 gift certificate and that will buy me a case of JDM beer or two. I bet I'll prolly end up spending more than $100 down there, but hey...it's JDM. Anyways, we'll leave my house about 9:00ish in the morning...and head to Greenich, CT. We got to hit FujiMart there so the wife can buy the simple stuff that we normally use in our household everyday, we'll be there about an hour or so. From there, we'll cruise on down the parkway and hit the George Washington Bridge, and get off the first exit from there in NJ. Head on down to Edgewater, and Matsuya is right there. If we can get there at a decent time...then we'll have a decent JDM lunch at a restaurant there, (cheap in the afternoon) and after that lunch, then a little shopping spree, then head back up the road back to CT.... sounds like fun ehh... Fun...if you call having a bi-lingual guy showing you all the normal everyday foods and customs of a Japanese family's shopping chores...or you could just go to check out the Japanese chicks in their mini-skirts and their high-heeled black leather boots.... JDM MILFS are the bomb. or you can stock up on chosen and known tasty JDM groceries, so when you do get home...you too can make your favorite yakisoba or curry rice dishes by youself... (I'll help you with your shopping, and give you hints on what to get, and how to cook it, bring a notebook)Plus you will see something that you normally don't see at normal American supermarkets.....Sake.... That's the basic plan....But if the weather is nice this week, then I might take my Z, if not, the I'll be in the commutersubaru, with the wife in tow, and Tom and Tristen. If the Z moves then they'll be in a drifted Tom-made 240sx. Ehh Nissan's...oh well...JDM is JDM...Honda's and Nissan's can be friends at this meet...even Vega's, BMW's, and Mitsu's....we can all get along once again.....just like the old times... I doubt there will be an aftermeet hangout in my garage later that night...because I will be getting off work that morning, and I might have to work that night, but that might change if my job is slow or the turnout warrants me to clear out out the garage to have a yakisoba fry pan night filled with sake and friendship. I can always take some Airjockie coffee in the afternoon to keep me up till the next day.... If I decide that the extra $200 that I'll miss from my paycheck the next week is worth it to open the garage to fun and friends..then so be it... Who's In?
