has anybody ever seen jdm type-r stamped into the tranny casing itself???
i have seen lsd stamped onto the bellhousing part of the casing,but never jdm type-r...it is stamped right over the front mount(hydro tranny)part and has the letters T-O-Y right under it. any help would be great...
thanx in advance...
(i'm building a n/a b16 and would like to get more info on the type-r tranny before i buy it...) :D

98 spec JDM ITR has an LSD and a 4.785 final drive.
 
Type-R trannies do NOT have 'Type-R' stamped on the housing from Honda. If it's stamped on yours, someone stamped it on there themselves.
