jdm vs usdm

my friend has a 00 SI and it has a b18c1 and how do you tell the difference between the usdm and the jdm b18c1. People been trying to say that if it was a jdm it woild just be b18c with no number after it and the motor is stamped with b18c1.

if it is stamped B18C1 then it is a USDM GSR engine

And there is no such thing as a 'JDM B18C1'. JDM motors did not have numbers after the engine code. No matter if it is a JDM SiR-G motor or an ITR, it's gonna be stamped 'B18C' if it's JDM.
