I have been working on this car since last spring and I just found this site, and I thought I would share a little about my project. I have a 78 Civic 3 door 1200 with a 2speed Hondamatic. It had realy low miles and very little rust. My wife drove it when she was in high school and then gave it to her brother, who promptly blew up the motor. fast forward five years, we got the car back. Originaly it was blue, then repainted(badly) white, and had girly pink and blue pinstrips and butterflies on it.
I comenced stipping it completely and started working on it. We decided on a motor swap for more power and reliability. I got ahold of an 89 Accord LXi and stripped the guts out of it, and stuffed it all(minus the interior) into the civic, motor, transmission, wiring, computor, sunroof, gauges and all.
