i Have a K20a2 in my civ but im also thinking of buying a a K24 crank shat wondering if that would pose any problems i know the shaft will fit its how well will the motor hold

You need to do some more research, who ever explained this to you either said it wrong or you just didn't interpret it correctly.

What you're talking about is a K20/k24 frankenstein motor. It's a k20 head mated to the K24 block. That combo may net you 20-30 hp and a bunch of extra torque. What you're talking about....I'm not sure if it's even feasible.

they dropped the engine in and did one of the best jobs ive ever seen.... would of done it myself if it weren't a k series but i guess they just lost my business
