Hi, i've done everything to the car necessary for the swap i think...

My car is a 97lx civc coupe with a d16y8

and the donor car is a 99 civic something with a b16a2

i've changed engine, mounts, both driveshafts, gearbox, mounts, shift linkage, radiator hoses, manifold, downpipe, ECU AND COMPLETE WIRING HARNESS.

firstly will i need to wire in anything extra for the vtec to work? i.e. a knock sensor or a vtec wire?

and secondly this is the major problem, i cant get my key to start the car with the OBDII ecu plugged in.

The car has a cat1 alarm and originally had an OBDI ecu, i dont have any more money left to go and buy the key and lock set for the donor car and was wondering if theres anyway around this??

any help appreciated. thanks.
