i saw an article somewhere regarding knock offs of turbos

i think they were turbonetics knock offs, trying to get all my info right

anyone have a link?
i've been googling with no sucess...

off to our forced induction section to look further...
 
Has anyone disproven this to be a good method ? It sounds more expensive than bolting / clamping.
 
If by "disproven" you mean "listened as their impeller housing separated from the turbo under boost" then yes.
 
that's awesome. I mean, they managed to save $0.10 by not bolting or welding anything. That is a company I have to buy from.

people are lazy and amused by shiney things

you can find used t3/t4's from drag kits and such for the same price or less than those pos chinese remanufactured epoxied turbo's that were used to cut fruit before being polished and put on ebay
