larger EDTV vs smaller HDTV

Personally, id go with the 32" especially for a bedroom TV.

42 just seems too big for my bedroom.

my bosses want to move their 40" Sharp into the bedroom in favor of a 50"+ they want to get... must be nice lol

i had a 42 before... it was perfect size for me IMO.

plus, in my room, the tv will be about 12-13 feet from my eyes if i'm lying in bed. the adjacent wall is pretty far off.

I expect this post to be read AFTER YOU PURCHASE THAT TV lol

Dont wait any longer, grab it, that TV is verry nice for the price

Only thing is, i dont think that tv will display in 1080. And why does a wide screen say 1024 x 768 pixels. Thats a 4:3 ratio.

yeah thats true, but he already has his "movie room" with the 50" DLP. This is for his bedroom and isnt all too concerned with the proper HD

its not 1080p. its 768p, which is typical plasma 720p.

that's fine for me... i got the 1080p downstairs, don't need it for the room.

bah, i think i'm gonna hold off....

i don't really need this.

i need to start being more thrifty...

its not that i don't have it.... its that i should save what i have for something else more important...

like a blow up friend :) Or a supercharger kit :)

no... i'd like to pay off the m this year.

that means 5x my normal payment (as i have a 5yr loan)

3400/month car payment ftw! :p

My buddy has that same tv. I watched the Indy game on it yesterday in HD, and its spectacular. Seriously spectacular.

B... ITS YOUR BEDROOM... YOu dont need to watch leno on a 42" TV! His chin is big enough!!

Get yourself a nice 27" Flatscreen and call it a day.

WOW, i wish i had money for a 2nd fp screen, let a lone one. Haha.

Anyway, I would rather get the smaller HDTV than a bigger EDTV because

1) For a bedroom, both TVs would be considerably large so it shouldn't really matter.

2) If you ever do decide to ditch it, you'll probably get more money back for it being HDTV than EDTV like CRT vs LCD.

3) 2009 FCC will only broadcast in HD.

4) Space. What if you decide to get surround sound speakers

5) Porn in HD in the bedroom TOO!
