I receintly instaled a turbo kit in my 92 hatch with a b16 in it. its a rev hard manifold with a turbonitcs turbo .57 trim. It seems to be leaking oil around the flange for the oil return line, or possibly where the 6 or 7 bolts that bolt the turbo together (not where it bolts to the mani but where the compressor housing bolts the the other part of the turbo) What do you think this could be, my return line goes to the top right cornor of the oil pan so i think that part is right. any ideas

it seems to be seeping out not really pouring or enough to lower the oil level on the dip stick. if the seals were blown wouldnt it be leaking oil out the down pipe or charge pipes cuz there is no oil comming from there. the turbo was just rebuilt so.... what would cause oil to come out between the compressor housing and the exhaust side of the turbo. (sorry cant think of whats it called). thats where it looks like it comming from or maybe the gasket where the flange is for the return line, or both its hard to tell.

You did run dino oil for the break-in of your turbo rebuild.... right?

the turbo was rebuilt right before i got it. so i dont know, but what would cause it to leak from the bottom bolt on the compressor side next to the oil return?

take it apart and clean everything. reassemble everything and check for leaks while the car is running. a lift will help a lot since you can spin the motor at higher than idle rpms/higher oil press while looking for the leak.

i'm going to take my turbo off this weekend and check it out. i can see that the turbo is leaking on the bottom bolt on the exhaust housing side of the turbo. do u think i have to rebuild the turbo to fix this? no oil is comming from any where else just the bottom bolt on the hot side of the turbo. I dont know what to do! my manifold is also not flat on the head for some reasonand i have a major exhaust leak between the head and the manifold. could this cause me to loose power? thanks for all the help.
