    austrailia is def the place to be.

    not only do they sorta speak english (at least you can READ stuff) but they get all the cool cars too.

    not really steep. its an SiR. id buy it if i had the money :)

    and its not an 88. sir's didnt come out with b16's, or that front end til 90.

    well, its listed as an 88 (Built date: January 1988)


    and you can buy SiR's in Germany for about $4500

    those were available at the dealership in Australia
    most of the mAd tiTe JdM cars that everyone flips the fuck out over are sold there

    i dont know if a d16a8 is a dohc, i always thought a d-series was a single cam... but thats what they put for the engine on the hatch..

    looks like an LS motor to me...other than the intake mani.. looks like a single cam mani..

    valve cover is too short to be an LS...5 "bumps" vs 4 on the 1.6

    These 2nd gen ODB1 DOHC 1.6's were available in Europe and Australia. You see them on Ebay once in a while...this one says its rated at "130hp", but I'm 95% sure they were either 140 or 142hp.

    Nope. The D16A8/A9 were DOHC D series engines... as were most of the JDM ZC engines.

    Ah..... tabbed browsing post lag. Oh well, someone beat me to it. :p
