Apple sells hype, not performance. Why would you pay twice as much for a computer that is half as fast? Ask someone who buys domestic cars, maybe they know the answer.

The newest innovation is making things out of aluminum! Who knew you could make something out of metal!

Apple is going to piss a lot of its hardcore users off however. Labeling every laptop in your line as Pro with very little diffrence between models is not a great move on their part. Apple made its bones by creating a class war within its own user base. Hell Mr. Jobs back in the day had his own engineers and designers fighting like rabid wolverines. Apple has created a culture that is self perpetual. People want the best of the best for the sake of having the best. There was a time when owning a G5 ment that you where a hardcore graphics designer and then it turned into a status symbol.

But to sum it up, if you are down with Apple good on you. But getting into a pissing match about how much better one company over another is just stupid. When you really break it down Apples come in a cool case and have a polished OS and Windows boxes are dirt cheap and have a ton of options in every way. And in the end, both machines surf porn just fine. Which is what its all about anway.

I love the MacBook Air because it’s a full pound and a half lighter than the next-lightest Apple laptop.

Really? Its ok to lose ALL useful connectivity features aside from wireless because it weighs one and a half pounds less? If you think a freaking 13" laptop is heavy then for your own sake you should start hitting the gym.

In a world of netbooks that compromise on screen and keyboard size in order to get small, the MacBook Air has an excellent 13-inch widescreen display and a full-sized, backlit keyboard.

Uhh... Netbooks are aimed at a completely different market, the MacBook Air is in fact a laptop that is just as bulky as any other 13-inch and the fact that is slightly thinner doesn't fix that and it never will no matter how thin it gets its still 13" across and has no excuse to be missing an optical drive I mean come on...

This is coming from a guy who's a PC user but would LOVE a MacBook Pro if only he could afford one. So yeah, in my fairly unbiased opinion the Air is a useless piece of shit.
