so I have a nice little issue - got a b16 tranny off a guy - he had cut his linkage or broke it or somethin - but bitch pin essentially ended up hollowed out and roughed on bottom not wanting to come out - I have an air hammer and various punches (all tapered none that are exactly what I need) - what is easiest way to get a messed up bitch pin out of a tranny?

heard about some methods pushing it from top or bottom using c clamp - or maybe use one of the reverse drill bits to pull it? give me some other ideas cuz I can't get it out with my punches through the bottom it seems.
 
Try a smaller punch and a hammer. That usually works for me. If for some reason that doesn't work, try heating it up and than use your punch to try and get it out again. If still nothing, take it to a machinist and have them get it out. They usually have special tools and tricks for problems such as yours.
 
yeah cuz at this point I give it 1-2 more shots if not trading it off for a gsr tranny - and really hate to pull my tranny back out of this car - will try those later - thanks dude

HEY OKCZombie, where the hell is my P28 ECU I paid you for via PayPal over a month ago? WTF!!! I been emailing you and emailing you with no response? WTF!!! What seems to be the hold up??? STOP avoiding me and send me a email!!! Or better yet, how bout a fukcing refund!!!
 
yaaa ull pry have to take it apart its not that hard to do tho my and my dad took mine apart when we had to get a special tool for the snap rings but other than that it was pretty easy to do.. its just important that you keep track of how every thing goes in u probably will need to take some of the gears out of the gearbox to get to the shifter levers inside but they come out easyily its just a littly tricky to get them back in but if u want to do it for sure with no messups i suggest taking it to a specialist but if u want to do a puzzle.. the transmission most def is like those 3d puzzles sorta lol
