Ok, I am building an LS/VTEC and I am assebling the block as of now. I had the crank polished and have a new set of main bearings. I placed the crank in the block and placed the caps over each of the journals. Journals # 2 and 4 do sit flat on their mating surfaces like the others do. It seems as though the the bearings are a little longer than the cap. Is this normal? The cap sits on the surface just fine when no bearings are installed. Also, the caps do not go on all the way when the old bearings are installed. Any help would be great. Thanks
