Ls tranny vs. 99-00 Si tranny in a GSR.......

    I have an ls hydro tranny in my GSR. The gears seem to be slow and take forever before I shift to the next gear. I was wondering should I by a Stage 2 ACT clutch kit and Ultra lite flywheel? Or should I buy a 99-00 Si tranny (shorter gears) and use the stock clutch, pressure plate, and flywheel? Someone help me out with this topic. Thanks.

    Go for the 99-00 si tranny. it will make your gsr quick. The clutch, pressure plate and flywheel, get whats best for your need. The LS tranny is great for fuel economy or if you had a bad ass turbo on your gsr. The stock gsr tranny are good too.

    between those two, the Si's S4C will be better.

    Yea your right plus I would spend less money on the b16 than getting an ACT clutch kit and flywheel for my Ls.

    the only good thing the ls tranny is good for is the junk yard IMO.
    go w/ si tranny, or get another GSR tranny

    Lol. Thanks for the reply cyclone. It's a piece of junk. Well thanks for the info guys. I'm going to go with the 99-00 si tranny and I'll keep you all posted after I feel how much a difference it is with my Gsr.
