LS/VTEC bottom end

alright for my build I'm deciding to use the type r pistons so the compression ratio isn't too high since I'm using my B18B LS rods for now.....is there required modification to the LS rods to fit the P73 pistons......I've heard that they need slightly shaved so the inside dome of the piston doesn't rub or hit against the rod? Also anyone know the RPM limit on the rods with the higher compression. I wasn't planning on runnin it too high (above 7K or 7500)

The rods won't fit in the pistons, you need to have the pistons shaved a bit to make room for the wider rod.
