LS/Vtec Buildup questions for 00 EK

    I own a 00 Civic dx and just hydrolocked the engine. I'm interested in the ls/vtec swap, and was wondering how much (ballpark) I can expect to pay for everything
    when it's all said and done. I know there are a lot of variables, and I was looking to put in either ITR or CTR- pistons, cams, intake, and header. Everything else would probably remain stock-unless anyone recommends otherwise. Any information would help. Thanks.

    Depending on all that you are going to put into the motor...i'd say at least 1500 just for LS block and Vtec head and B series tranny and axles and ecu and machine work and everything else needed...but EXPECT to pay more then what i just told you if you intend on puttin ITR and CTR stuff on/in it

    $350 for block
    $300 for head
    $200 for ECU
    $200 for axles
    $350 for Trans
    $200 for oil and wiring shit
    $300 for misc parts and work
    $500-800 if your not doing it yourself

    $1900 for the DIY

    $2400-2700 for a shop to do it.

    I have been looking around for this stuff for my cuz. SOme prices are a little more than what you can get on ebay.
