ls/vtec am i going to need to run a knock sensor in order for the p72 not to throw a code and make it run funny. and also if i send my p28 already chipped off to get it programmed i can just make a list of parts i have on the car and they could do it with out the car being there right

If you're already going to have the ECU chipped they can just take the knock sensor input out so it doesn't look for one.. then you should be good to go.
