ls\vtec to p28 or to p30 ecu

Just wondering if the p28 will run a ls\vtec with out chipping or using hondata (which hondata will come soon after break in period)......or will using a p30 ecu be a better choice since it is mapped for a DOHC.....probably a dumb question , but want a well running engine.....(I realize that the p28 doesn't need a knock sensor but the p30 does) any input would be great since I can't seem to find anyone who has used a p28 without a chip or hondata on a ls\vtec

Oh and car is OBD2, will use OBD2 to OBD1 adapter for p28.

obviously the p30 is the better choice of the two, the p28 will run to lean and you will risk detonation, that and the 7500 rev limiter... just get a p28 and uberdata/crome or hondata if you can wait and save up some money.
