Ls/vtec - Why Can't I Use My B16 Head Bolts

    Are they really too short or is this a rumor...if they are too short should I get GSR or ARP...how much can I get'em for?

    they are short, GSR and ARP are good. i would say around 20-30 bucks.

    Uhh, I don't think you should be using used head bolts, you have no idea what they have been through. Definitely get the ARP head bolts.

    never use used head studs, don't build and then cheap out in a very import part arps definaly

    They are really too short. Use the GSR ones from Honda or ARP.

    i am doing one right now and i am using orginal GSR head bolt. they are longer than b16a and when you torque it down it clamps harder on the head gasket to help is not leak oil sense the oil retrun holes don't line up. i bought the head bolts from Acura for about 10-12 buck a piece. if you can afford ARP go for it.
