I have an ls/vtec swap in my 97 integra. the head is an obd1 b16 pr3 i beleive. anyways i noticed today when i open the hood while it was running that it sounds like the head is ticking? its not very loud but noticable. is this normal or should i look deeper into it? I though maybe alot of these b series have the sound im hearing but im not sure. any info on this would be appretiated. thanks!

a certain amount of ticking is pretty normal

tough to say whether yours is or not over the internet

A little ticking is normal usually the injectors firing (its a noticeable tick that I have seen a lot of people mistake for thinking there oil is low.) If it sounds like it's coming from around the fuel rail that's gonna be the injectors if not. I'd say check the oil level if it's low that could be it as well those would be the easy fixes that I know of.
