lsi to esi eg civic conversion

    Am i right in thinking that i can use my current gearbox and engine mounts and exhaust from my 1.5 lsi hatchback eg civic and just put in the d15z6 esi engine and loom?

    can i adapt the existing loom?

    I think you mean D16Z6 and yes the tranny/mounts will work but you will need an ECU and to wire for vtec. By loom I take it you mean wire harness? The loom is just the plastic cover for the wire. Your car should be wired for vtec from the ECU connector rigth up to the connector closest to the distributor. H.S. has a right up showing how to do this in the Swap Articles - HondaSwap Forums section.

    Pretty easy stuff, and BLANCO is probally the best one to listen to about the D series motor line.
