Lug bolts

I don't know how the hell I did this, but one of my lug bolts broke, not in half but the splines that keep it from spinning are smooth and they are the same way on the hub. Well I don't feel like replacing the hub, anybody have a fix for that without welding the damn thing on there, or shoving a peice of metel inbetween there and pounding it in?

Your saying that the Lug nut's threads and the wheel stud's both striped, now you need to fix them. You probally cross threaded them on last time you put them on. Next time, with a socket, tighten every thing hand-tight, then use a trq. wrench. Dont try and go nascar style with an impact.

There are replacement wheel studs that are pretty cheap to buy, the only bad thing is the instal. There is really not alot of room between the hub and the knuckle to get in there.

while your at it, I would recommend your replace them all with some longer studs.

I'm saying that the splines on the hub and the bolt are gone.

ah, makes much more sence now.

What you need to do is put a quick tack weld on it.
