my girlfriend has a dx and she keeps whinning to me about her power nothing shit car.. so i was wondering how much is to get power windows and keyless entry and/or alarm?? and is the install pretty easy? thanks in advance, peace.
 
well, keyless entry should only be about 200 bucks, but then again, when i went to the dealership about a power window motor(may need a new one for the accord) they said around 400 bucks +labor.
 
my power locks was an extra 70 bucks for my two door hatch when i got my alarm installed. i think keyless entry was another 30 bucks but i did not care about that. installation was easy...
 
Spal has keyless entry and power window/lock kits. All in all, run you around 200, give or take and its easy wiring.

do you think they will have a pw/pl kit for the EK as well?

I put in power locks for less then $20. Princess Auto had a whole shit load of surplus power lock solenoids so i picked up a few of them, wire, connectors and a switch while i was at it. The arm rest in the door of 92-95 model civics has more then enough room for the solenoids. The hardest part is routing wires from the door into the body. e-mail if you want a wiring diagram and some other install tips. When i get enough cash for an alarm, the third soleniod will opperate the trunk lid :D

oh, i thought he said she had a NEW dx.

anyways, i have a friend who installs power stuff in cars. he owns a stereo shop and said going power is not a good idea because those things short out, breakdown and cause problems.
