LOL keep on the work on the build you will be happy with it I finaly located my GUDE racing ls head that i had 5 years ago it made great power i was stupid for trading it for a vtec head that was in stock forum

Pr0n - Blue Screen of Death. Spam, Redirecting sites and Random slowness of the already slow windows operating system are the first signs...

Honda parts Unlimited are some good guys, I've delt with them in the past.

As for the laptop, check out www.downloads.com or C-net.com and scroll down to "Advanced System Care" download and run, It's free and has cleaned up my and wifes laptop.
It should only take about 15min, maybe more..

Merry Christmas. Errol

I am a certified tech if you have any questions also. My Acer laptop has crashed before and when I tried turning it back on... nothing. I found out that it only had a gig of memory which can cause problems with high output programs and that it reverts back onto the bios but all you have to do is install a new copy of the bios and viola! Back to the norm.

Your piston/rods look great! I'm in the process of using these H/C pistons like you or going aftermarket for the B20b.. It all depends on a fellow and his H-beams.. If I do get them I have to go floater pistons.

What head and intake will you be using and About what comp will you be at with those?
I looked into Swain-Coatings and thought of prepping my piston crowns and combustion chambers, coating them if I go over 12:1 with maybe a water/methenal injection to cool it since it gets so hot here in the summer.

My wife's Dell power cord was doing the same thing.. She couldn't wait and paid 85.00 for a new one and I took her old one to work, stripped it back, soldered it and now she has a spare (if the kids tear this one up too)

All the info is on the first few pages, but im gonna use a P&P p75 non vtec (fuk vtec for now) head right now. My compression ratio should be about 11:1

RS machine pistons have free floating pins in there pistons, and they are about $200. really good pistons too.

oh and btw you wont need any meh to cool your motor, just use a fullsize aluminum radiator.

"cool" I already have the teg radiator.. Droppped right in Just the header is about 1/4" away from the condesor motor.
RS -eh? Is that off of Ebay? I found these, Probe High or low comp..Probe Pistons Honda B-Series Dome Top (+4.0mm):eBay Motors (item 250544568241 end time Dec-17-09 08:27:54 PST)

Are/did you balance the assembly? I'm not sure if I want to this time around.
Just as long as they all measure the same, it should swing evenly right??

This thread is getting me anxious to get the parts to start building mine.

Just before you insta your rings, use a small-fine jewlers file and knock off any sharp edges at the outer ends of your ring gaps. Filing inward to the gap. That way if there was any burr, it won't score the bore when you first pop them in. (then you WILL have an oil burn in that cyl til it gets fixed$$)

And I like to use oily fingers around the big end of the rod (OK, get your mind out of the gutter) while it's apart to knock off any more burrs at the joining/mating surfaces. (especially near/in the 'tang' area that could raise the bearing just enough to swipe away any lubricity and causing a drag or spun bearing)
File outward and away from the mating surfaces. Again, at a sharp angle outward. You can use a good oil-stone to. Just rinse well with thinner/carb cleaner.

E

Sorry, that sounded weird.. Using oily fingers, you can feel the burrs better. Then address any issues.

E

Hey, another thing.. Some peeps forget to clean out the little oil hole that shoots oil to cool the skirt on the high side.
Ya NEVER KNOW, could be trash hiding in there too.

E

yeah RS machine are good pistons, I know some people who have used them with no problem, Im using Nippon pistons on this build because I trust them.

Nippon, ycp, and rs machine piston are all the same quality. I the guy I got my rods from is using probe pistos, they look a bit weird to me, its a short skirt piston correct? I myself never liked using short skirts because the piston could rattle in the cyl walls.

If you do use probe pistons I would highly recomend you get your assembly ballnced.
