best way to find out the real gallons...is to run the car dry, have a 2 gallon can of gas in the trunk, and reset and do the math from the odo when you fill up.
my Z says it's a 14.5 gallon tank....I don't risk it, and I fill up when ever the gauge that reads 1/4 high, get to 1/4 tank....and thats normally 10 gallons. The subaru has a bad guage, so I only put 300 miles on it, and then I'm hunting down gas stations after that...
after a while...you'll just get a nitch for a car...and drive it how you feel safe. if the gas station you always go to closes for the night....and after you've been stuck on the hiway overnight...you'll learn.
