Max boost on Vitara pistons

I'm plannin on using Vitara pistons in my d16z6 build and was wondering how much boost they could take. Anyone have any first hand experience using them or anything of that nature.. Thanks..

1.5L mirage people use them.... good for 300+whp for sure. i have a set as well for my build.

shit if i know, OEM mirage rods are huge. lol we never replace those for high boost.

I think the stock bottom end will hold 220whp, I believe that's crankshaft/rods.

Yeah around 250 whp for sure to be safe.

I know that the D15's stock rods are like toothpicks. Not sure if the z6 is the same way, or not.

I was planning on using some eagle rods. The stock z6 rods are kind of weak from what I understand..

ok so how many pounds of boost is safe on Vitara pistons, with stock rods, with a good tune?

Depends on the turbo. Never base safety on "psi" alone.

im running a TD05H (1G Eclipse AUTO TRANNY) i will push about 7 psi with the internal wastegate.
