I dont know how recent that is. But according to my knowledge and some other resources, the McLaren is still the fastest "production car." Officially clocked at 240mph. The Koenigsegg tested at 225ish but had to shut down due to weather. They stated that it could go 245mph, but yet has been so.

^^thtas what i heard too, about the Koenigsegg, they say they have simulated it on computers, but never have done it in real life. due to the fact that they cant find a track big enough

Why not the Salt Flats? If a car can break the sound barrier there, Im sure there is enough room. Maybe the conditions or what not is different.. Like the environment is too different. Maybe its not.

well if they cant do it on a similar track as a mclaren then that means the mclaren gets to 240 faster, so its still faster lol
